Humble Hands Massage Therapy and Bodywork
“Where intuition meets anatomy”
Welcome to Humble Hands Bend, your Bodywork and Massage Therapy specialist in beautiful Bend, Oregon!
Hi everyone, my name is Ben and I practice an advanced form of therapeutic bodywork. It is a combination of Manual Therapy, Myofascial Release, and Osteopathic Techniques. I absolutely love providing this treatment and am excited to share it with you all!
Think of it like taking your body in for a tune-up. This is structural work based on functional anatomy.
These treatments are excellent for everyone of all ages, either addressing specific issues or as preventative care - the same way you would hire a mechanic to look at your vehicle when it’s acting up or to stay on top of timely maintenance!
Some examples of client care include:
Athletes that want to increase the longevity and efficacy of their career
People who sit, use their computers, or make repetitive motions at their jobs, and often feel pain/tension in their neck and shoulders
Youth who have been in a crash or accident, with lasting pain or restrictions in the body afterwards
Those who have experienced a traumatic event, such as an injury, surgery, or infection, who have never quite felt the same in their body since. This event could be recent, or 5, 10, 20 years in the past
Someone who wants to maintain their current level of health and ability, checking in quarterly or biannually to prevent small restrictions from becoming bigger problems
Restoring function to anatomy:
Small restrictions in the body, over time, can lead to larger issues. “The issues are in the tissues”, as it’s said.
Here are just a few of the more common issues in the tissues I work with, and some possible symptoms related:
The AO (atlanto-occipital, or neck-head) joint isn’t moving properly - Client has persistent migraines or gets numbness and tingling in their arms and fingers
The parietal pleura (lung casing and cavity) is strained - Client’s shoulder has painful or limited range of motion
The femoral artery (major leg artery) is restricted as is passes through the deep pelvis or around the knee - Client unable to flex/extend foot, feels poor circulation in feet, or gets achy pain in hip and/or leg after prolonged activity
The ligaments of the sacrum, hip bones and lumbar spine are stiff and rigid - Client often feels low back pain and/or difficult rotating trunk or hips
The sphincters of the digestive system (from esophagus to rectum) are not operating properly - Client feels pain or discomfort after eating, or has decreased overall energy
Arterial system or nervous network (blood supply and innervation) are impinged en route to musculature - Client feels there is inflammation or a “knots” in certain areas
Again, these are only a FEW possibilities and examples - all of which are treatable with this work!

Ben is pleasant and knowledgeable and really great at communicating. My knee was causing problems and I was in denial as I did not want knee surgery. Since working with Bend my knee is much better. I will continue working with Ben, he's a peach.

The session feels restorative. I enter into a restful/trance like state often. Love Ben’s knowledge of the body and the art of his intuitive approach. The music is awesome!! No cheesey spa music haha
